У посібнику зібрані твори або уривки з творів різних епох, які вплинули на становлення та розвиток соціологічної думки, на інституалізацію соціології як науки; подана інформація про їх авторів-відомих соціологів. Окремі наукові праці можуть бути використані при викладанні «Філософії», «Політології», «Історії психології», «Соціальної психології» та інших навчальних дисциплін, предметна область яких співпадає. This textbook is an orderly and systematic collection of works or fragments of works by eminent representatives of foreign and domestic sociological thought, contemporary scholars and practitioners in the field of sociology. Scientific works are selected and ordered in accordance with the program of the normative educational course "Sociology". The creative heritage of sociologists in textbooks is organized according to the topics of seminars to prepare and acquaint higher education students with the origins and present of sociological thought; however, their main focus is for the independent processing of texts in order to form sociological thinking, the development of thinking practice, the enrichment of the value potential of student youth, the ability to adequately assess contemporary social processes. The guide consists of two sections and appendices. The first section of the textbook corresponds to the content module "Theory, History and Methodology of Sociology" and includes textbooks to seven topics that cover the subject area, prerequisites and factors that influenced the formation of sociology as a science, basic paradigms, trends and concepts of sociological thought; view society as a social system and social structure, explain the system of social stratification and social mobility in society; analyze social processes and social change; represent a person in the system of social ties; as well as texts to master the methodology, methodology and technique of sociological research. The second section of the handbook includes materials for the study of topics of the content module "Sociological middle-level theories", which included the most valued scientific works in the context of special sociological theories and sectoral sociology: culture, education and science, family and youth, politics, law, labor and management, social conflict. Particular attention is paid to the works in which the sociological analysis of religious and national-ethnic, social relations, gender issues is conducted. The tutorial allows you to address the problems of society and the individual at one stage or another of its development.
