Характеристика концепту андрогінності у соціокультурному аспекті

Abstract

Проаналізовано розуміння явища андрогінності у соціокультурному контексті. Вказано на необхідність розмежування різних аспектів цього феномена, попри відсутність єдиної концепції щодо його трактування, але стрімке зростання інтересу до нього в масовій свідомості. Описано специфіку прояву андрогінності у зрізі унісексу як презентації свого зовнішнього «Я», що полягає у стиранні меж між чоловічою та жіночою статями, свідомому нівелюванні відмінностей та привілеїв своєї статі. The topicality of the research of the problem of androgyny is conditioned by the transformation of gender that leads to voluntary or involuntary change of feminine or masculine psychological sex on androgynous, and therefore is the harmonious combination of high development of femininity and masculinity in one person. Regardless of gender, which blurs are caused by socio-cultural expectations and distinctions between «male» and «female», giving people more freedom and increase their adaptive capacity. To differentiate understanding of the interpretation of the phenomenon of androgyny, authors created a model scheme of this phenomenon, according to which this concept is explained in the historical and philosophical, social, psychological and biological aspects. The authors pay attention to active popularization of androgynous fashion industry and, as the result, of the emergence style of «unisex». For people inclined to unisex style, the attitude to sex is important. People, who prefer this style, deliberately refuse from external indications of their sexual identity and are representatives of the «united sex». The main target of unisex style is to erase the borders of sex, and do not use the privileges of their sex, unlike androgyny, which in turn is the notion of the higher order. In the absence of visual differences a person is able to fully manifest his identity not to stand out from the crowd in his appearance, but because of the behavior and way of thinking. Therefore, the «unisex» doesn’t limit the individuality of each person, but rather removes the accumulation of minor details. Style «unisex» enables both sexes look exactly the same, valuing comfort and practicality, and not seek to emphasize their gender identity, also enables the realization that blur of the boundaries between man and woman is not an indicator of degradation and extinction of society.
