Експлікація похідних концептів першого рівня deficiencies, innovations, airlines головного концепту airport в романі А. Хейлі «Аеропорт»

Abstract

Стаття присвячена дослідженню когнітивно–дискурсивних аспектів вербалізації похідних концептів першого рівня DEFICIENCIES, INNOVATIONS, AIRLINES головного концепту AIRPORT в романі А. Хейлі «Аеропорт». Концепт AIRPORT розглядається як складне ментальне утворення у єдності його понятійного, ціннісного та образного компонентів. Приядерна зона концепту AIRPORT включає похідні концепти першого рівня, такі як: AREAS, SAFETY, DEFICIENCIES, INNOVATIONS, PASSENGERS, AIRLINES, AUTHORITIES, OPERATIONS & SERVICES, AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL, BUILDINGS. Представлено аналіз змісту структури концептів DEFICIENCIES, INNOVATIONS, AIRLINES та когнітивну модель їх представлення у відповідному художньо-літературному творі. Концепти DEFICIENCIES та INNOVATIONS є когнітивно-семантичними відповідниками окремих сегментів концептуального простору роману, що відображають слабкі сторони в діяльності аеропорту та інновації у його діяльності; вони знаходяться у діалектичній залежності, оскільки недоліки та критичні проблеми обумовлюють необхідність позитивних змін. Введено новий концепт AIRLINES, тому що власне авіакомпанії здійснюють перевезення, володіють парком авіатехніки, працюють із пасажирами в своїх представництвах в аеропорту, мають своє керівництво і персонал, окрему групу якого складає льотний склад. The article deals with the research of the cognitive and discursive aspects of verbalization of the derivative first level concepts DEFICIENCIES, INNOVATIONS, AIRLINES of the main concept AIRPORT in the novel 'Airport' by A. Hailey. The concept AIRPORT is considered as a complex mental formation in the unity of its conceptual, value and figurative components. Based on the study of the cognitive and semantic features of the conceptual space of A. Haley's novel 'Airport', the reflection of the conceptual space of the airport's professional environment in the thematic structure of the novel and the language base of concepts verbalization, which form the special space of the novel in accordance with the professional specificity of the real world of airline industry, was worked out a model of the content structure of the concept AIRPORT in the structure of the novel with certain adjustments to the general model of the content structure of the concept AIRPORT. Thus, the near-nuclear zone of the concept AIRPORT includes the derivative concepts of the first level, such as: AREAS, SAFETY, DEFICIENCIES, INNOVATIONS, PASSENGERS, AIRLINES, AUTHORITIES, OPERATIONS & SERVICES, AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL, BUILDINGS. The analysis of the content structure of the concepts DEFICIENCIES, INNOVATIONS, AIRLINES and cognitive model of their representation in the corresponding literary work are presented. The DEFICIENCIES and INNOVATIONS concepts are cognitive-semantic correspondences of individual segments of the conceptual space of the novel, reflecting the weaknesses and innovations in the activities of the airport; they are in a dialectical relationship, because the shortcomings and critical issues determine the need for positive change. A new concept AIRLINES was introduced, because the airlines themselves carry out transportation, own a fleet of aircraft, work with passengers at their departments at the airport, have their own management and staff, a separate group of which is the flight depot. An extensive system of structure and relations in the airlines themselves and between different airlines was reflected in the language fabric of the novel. Further perspectives of conceptual analysis are related to the interpretation and description of the structural and semantic features of the verbalization of concepts of the close periphery of the AIRPORT concept, namely, derivative concepts of the second level that is a logical continuation of the study of the overall structure of the AIRPORT concept in the literary work.
