Using the discussion in teaching a foreign language at the establishments of higher education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

Abstract

У статті розглядається питання пошуку шляхів ефективної роботи з текстами з фаху, що є ключем для розв’язання проблем комунікативної компетенції здобувачів вищої освіти. Наголошується, що добір текстового матеріалу і побудова системи вправ, що стосуються сфери професійного мовлення, сприяють цілеспрямованості навчання іноземної мови та зростанню мотивації навчання. Серед найефективніших видів роботи, які допомагають формуванню навичок і вмінь професійного мовлення, називається дискусія, що робить навчальний процес динамічнішим і вчить здобувачів вищої освіти творчому процесу пізнання професійно орієнтованої мови. The article deals with the issues of searching for the ways of the effective work with the specialized texts that is the key to solve the problems of the communicative competence of the students and cadets. It is underlined that the choice of the text material and the suitable system of exercises concerning the sphere of the professional speech contribute to the purposefulness of learning the foreign language and raising its motivation. The discussion is considered to be one of the most efficient types of work that help to form the skills and abilities of the professional speech. The discussion makes it possible for the educational process to become more dynamic and teaches the students and cadets the creative process of the professionally oriented language cognition.
