Abstract: Обґрунтовано місце та роль організаційної культури у діяльності навчального закладу, зокрема приватної форми власності. Розглянуто загальноприйняті підходи щодо місця й ролі організаційної культури в структурі організації. Охарактеризовано функції організаційної культури у вищій школі на основі наявних типологій. Удосконалено та поглиблено зміст функцій організаційної культури, з огляду на досвід функціонування приватного навчального закладу. Указано на необхідність виділення виховної функції в структурі організаційної культури як самостійної. In the article the place and role of organizational culture in the educational institution activities, including private form of ownership, are substantiated. Generally used approaches to the place and role of organizational culture in the organization structure are considered. It is clarified that organizational culture is a subsystem of any organization (corporation), which has its own characteristics, along with other subsystems. The functions of organizational culture in higher education based on existing typologies, namely: cognitive, value-creating, communicative, normative and regulatory, motivation, innovation, stabilization were characterized. The content of organizational culture functions was improved and in-depth. The innovation here is that the existing typologies are improved as methodological and starting, filled with a rich content based on the experience of the private educational institution type. It was highlighted that cognitive function acts as determinant factor of the formation and further development of organizational culture, and the formation and coordination of different levels of values – is one of the important strategic objectives of managerial branch of the institution. The need to take motivational factors into account was emphasized. It was indicated that the communicative function allows each member of corporation being involved to the most important issues of life of the educational institution. The importance of standardization and regulatory, innovation and stabilizing function for the formation of the organizational culture of the educational institution was revealed. The need for educational function of the structure of organizational culture as its’ own was highlighted. It is emphasized that the uniqueness of educational function lies in the organizational culture, especially in educational institution, being the factor of attracting human to the life (personal, professional, social, corporate and communicative etc.). The practical significance of the research is that organizational culture is considered as a tool for improving of the private educational institution. Prospects for further research include: corporate education direction as an important factor of formation and adjustment of organization culture; diagnosis of organizational culture of the private educational institution.
