Історико-правові засади становлення та діяльності львівського Ставропігійського інституту (друга половина ХІХ – початок ХХ століття)

Abstract

Розглянуто становлення і діяльність Львівського Ставропігійського інституту у другій половині ХІХ – на початку ХХ століття та його роль у політичному, соціально-економічному, науковому, культурному та правовому розвитку Східної Галичини. Подано характеристику правових основ діяльності Ставропігійського інституту в формі аналізу організаційно-розпорядчих й установчих документів – статутів й уставів, а також проаналізовано організаційно-правову структуру Ставропігійського інституту та повноваження членів установи, що детально характеризує правовий статус і специфіку діяльності наукового закладу. The historical and legal analysis of the formation and activities of Stavropihiysk Institute in the second half of the nineteenth – early twentieth century and the role of the Institute in the political, social and economic, scientific, cultural and legal development of Eastern Galicia iscarriedout. The tasks set out by Stavropihiysk Institute granted him the features of religious, cultural and educational institutions. The requirements for the membership of Stavropihia (belonging to the Greek Catholic rite, Ukrainian nationality and possession of a meaningful place in the social hierarchy), turned it into an isolated, elite Ukrainian institution that brings together the prominent representatives of science, culture, industrial circles, the officials. Stavropihiysk Institute was an isolated structure, membership of which was limited by high entrance fees and a mandatory recommendation of two influential members. The article deals with the legal framework of Stavropihiysk Institute in the form of analysis of the organizational and administrative, statutory documents – statutes and ordinances, and also the analysis of the organizational and legal structure of Stavropihiysk Institute and powers of members of the institution which describes in detail the legal status and specifics of the scientific establishment is carried out. One of the main activities of Stavropihiysk Institute was a scientific work subjugated to the program of Council of Rus scientists in 1848. It included the collection and systematization of factual material and creation on the basis of fundamental works. At this time the Institute has made a significant contribution to the development of the contemporary historical science in Galicia, especially in the study of ancient history, religious studies, linguistics, source, archeology, ethnography, as well as in collecting, conservation, scientific study and restoration of material monuments of spiritual culture.
