Abstract

Розглянуто окремі аспекти класифікації спеціальних засобів забезпечення громадського порядку в сучасних умовах та запропоновано власну класифікацію спеціальних засобів. The article deals with some aspects of classification of special means of protecting public order in current conditions and the authors’ classification of special means have been offered. Regulation of legal regime of circulation of special means of protecting public order requires their further differentiation. Special means could have active and passive character of use. By their principle of action they are divided into nonlethal weapon, means of restraint and means of protection. Special means could also be classified into means of individual and of collective use. By the type of influence special means are classified into: means of kinetic action, electric shock means, blinding means, acoustic means, directed energy means, chemical means, barriers and fences, and combined systems. Issue of classification of special means of protecting public order requires its further scientific exploration and legal regulation.
