Етнічна ідентичність особистості в контексті соціально-психологічних досліджень

Abstract

Сучасні умови життя людини характеризуються динамічністю й мінливістю. З огляду на це, популярність тих чи інших соціальних ролей, професій тощо не є постійною величиною. Ніхто не може бути впевненим у тому, що статус, який він має зараз, у найближчій перспективі буде таким же за своєю престижністю, привабливістю, наявністю благ чи прибутковістю. За таких умов життя індивід бажає мати якусь певну стійку, фундаментальну приналежність. Такою стійкою приналежністю вважається етнічна. Отож, пропонуємо з’ясувати, як трактується проблема етнічної ідентичності у контексті соціально-психологічних досліджень. Незважаючи на те, що через актуальність та гостроту проблеми етнічної ідентичності, досліджень різних її аспектів у психологічній науці існує чимало, історія її вивчення має велику кількість суперечливих і невирішених питань, що вимагає глибокого аналізу та усвідомлення. Проблема етнічної ідентичності є об’єктом наукового інтересу як вітчизняних, так і зарубіжних науковців різних галузей. У сучасних соціально-психологічних дослідженнях етнічна ідентичність визначається як певний етнопсихологічний феномен, як важлива складова самосвідомості. Етнічна ідентичність індивіда визначає його соціально значущі форми поведінки та впливає на стиль його взаємин з іншими людьми, з представниками різних етносів, народів, культур. Важливим для особистості є і прояв себе як члена певного етносу, залученість до його соціального життя. Етносамовизначення передбачає формування позитивної етнічної ідентичності. Втрата етнічної ідентичності може призвести до негативних наслідків для ідентичності людини в цілому, що може виявлятися, у відчутті «я – ніхто», невидимості, безіменності, безликості. Такий підхід до проблеми, таке розуміння актуальності питання етнічної ідентичності особистості, ставить її у центр уваги науковців як в Україні, так і у всьому світі. Human life in modern times is characterized by dynamism and variability. In view of this, the popularity of certain social roles, professions, etc. is not a constant value. No one can be sure that the status they have now will be the same in terms of prestige, attractiveness, benefts or proftability in the near future. Under such conditions, an individual wants to have some kind of stable, fundamental afliation. Ethnicity is considered to be such a stable afliation. Therefore, we propose to fnd out how the problem of ethnic identity is interpreted in the context of sociopsychological research. Despite the fact that due to the relevance and acuteness of the problem of ethnic identity, there are many studies of its various aspects in psychological science, the history of its study has a large number of controversial and unresolved issues that require deep analysis and awareness. The problem of ethnic identity is the object of interest of both domestic and foreign scholars in various felds. In modern socio-psychological studies, ethnic identity is defned as a certain ethno-psychological phenomenon, as an important component of self-awareness. The ethnic identity of an individual determines their socially signifcant forms of behavior and affects the style of their relations with other people, with representatives of different ethnic groups, nations, and cultures. Manifesting oneself as a member of a certain ethnic group, involvement in its social life is also important for an individual. Ethnic self-determination involves the formation of a positive ethnic identity. The loss of ethnic identity can lead to negative consequences for a person’s identity as a whole, which can be manifested in the feeling of “I am nobody”, invisibility, namelessness, and facelessness. This approach to the problem, this understanding of the relevance of the issue of the ethnic identity of an individual puts it in the center of attention of scientists both in Ukraine and around the world.
