Актуальні проблеми професійної підготовки вчителів іноземної мови

Abstract

Актуальними питаннями сучасної методики навчання іноземної мови є забезпечення майбутніх вчителів іноземної мови професійними і лінгвокультурологічними знаннями, розробка та удосконалення прийомів і технологій, що сприяють інтенсифікації навчального процесу, надають студентам можливість розвивати мовленнєві вміння та навички в умовах, типових для реального спілкування. Такий підхід до підготовки майбутніх фахівців уможливить вирішити проблеми, що стосуються професійної орієнтації навчання іноземної мови студентів факультету іноземних мов; опанування ними усним мовленням та розвитку мислення; роботи над лексикою; культурологічної підготовки студентів. The modern school demands much of a teacher who in this or that way directs all the system of education because he/she is the bearer and spokesman of the humanistic values, the personality which defines the creative character of the work that assists in the all-round development of a pupil. Raising the level of the practical training of the graduates of the higher educational establishment is urgent, because their ability to carry out the practical activity in a definite profession is the general criterion of evaluating the quality of education. Pedagogical education is directed towards improving the quality of the professional linguistic training, extending the scientific notions about the process of the linguistic and methodical training of the teachers of the foreign language at the higher educational establishment, which is directed at forming the methodical experience and providing purposeful development of the professional personality of the teacher. It is connected with the increasing role of the foreign languages in the life of society and the appearance of the new factors (globalization, mobility, intercultural communication, etc.) which radically change the status of the foreign language as an educational discipline. The higher educational establishment must provide the future teachers of the foreign language with professional knowledge, skills and habits which are necessary for the specialists, with the appropriate competences that are important for the teacher of the foreign language at school. The urgent problems of the modern methods of teaching the foreign language is working out and improving the modes and technologies that help to intensify the process of learning, give the possibilities to develop the students’ speech skills and habits under the conditions that are typical for real communication. Such an approach to training the future specialists foresees the formation of the communicative competence on the level that is relevant for teaching the foreign language at school, enriching them with the didactic information, linguistic and culturological knowledge, directing them towards mastering the new methods of teaching and using the new technical aids. This approach will make possible to solve the problems that consider the professional orientation of teaching the foreign language to the students of the faculty of foreign languages; mastering oral speech and developing thinking; working on the vocabulary; culturological training of the students. The success of the activity of the teacher of the foreign language will depend on his language, professional and culturological training, on the character of their interrelation during defining and solving the methodical tasks and pedagogical situations.
