Поняття, зміст та функції професійної підготовки поліцейського в Україні

Abstract

Перераховані мета, зміст та основні завдання професійної підготовки. Показано, що поліпшення якості професійної підготовки поліцейських вимагає впровадження інновацій, залучення висококваліфікованих співробітників і впровадження досвіду професійної підготовки поліцейських зарубіжних країн. Modern political, economical and social needs of society and state define the strategic directions and aims of the reformation of Ukrainian law enforcement system. From our point of view, one of the aims of reformation law enforcement system is the formation of highly qualified staff of internal affairs’ bodies and providing the effective police practice, development and improvement of professional police training in Ukraine. Professional police training is a system of actions, which are referred to the formation of professional orientation, increasing the level of professional sense of justice and law culture, getting new legal and special knowledge and skills, which will help the policemen in their work according to current legislation and professional ethics’ principles. The main tasks of professional police training are: 1) studying current laws and other documents which regulate the work of police; 2) obtaining new skills and necessary knowledge for practical police work; 3) development of moral and psychological qualities, sense of responsibility and self-development; 4) communicating with society to improve the prestige of police work in Ukraine etc. To sum up, the main goal of police professional training in Ukraine is the development of professional qualities of policemen, which will provide the positive image of police and raise the level of Ukrainian people’s confidence towards policemen in Ukraine. The improvement of professional police training requires a lot of innovations, involvement of highly qualified staff and usage of the professional police training experience of foreign countries.
