Abstract

Досліджено проблеми впливу насильства та жорстокості в засобах масової інформації на протиправну поведінку неповнолітніх. Установлено, що процес криміналізації суспільної свідомості пов’язаний із криміногенною деформацією ціннісно-нормативної системи суспільства, розмиванням і знівелюванням соціально позитивних цінностей, установок, стереотипів поведінки, моральних ідеалів людей. Розглянуто проблему впливу телевізійної інформації на формування особистості неповнолітніх у контексті зростання такого негативного явища, як агресивність.The article deals with the problems of the impact of violence and cruelty in the mass media on the unlawful behaviour of minors. The process of criminalization of social consciousness is connected with the criminogenic deformation of valuable and normative systems of the society, the dilution and the devaluation of positive social values, attitudes, and stereotypes of behaviour, moral ideals of people. Among law-abiding sections of the population it is accompanied by the wide spread of antisocial views, attitudes and beliefs that justify, encourage or openly provoke the violation of criminal and legal prohibitions. Television by its nature and social functions has huge opportunities of impact on the socialization of children of preschool age. The analysis of the scientific literature showed that in case of access to the global computer network Internet, users sometimes acquire the so-called syndrome, Internet addiction, which is primarily expressed in absolute «absorption» with information, communicative, playing kinds of activities concerning the Internet. The media as one of the main factors of the socialization in children’s lives complements or competes with other more traditional factors, such as family, preschool establishment, society of coevals, children’s subculture. The problem of the influence of the television information on forming the juvenile personality acquires a special urgency and, first of all, in the context of the increase of such phenomenon as aggression. The latter, as special investigations prove, positively correlates with the number of scenes of violence and cruelty observed by a teenager. Violence in the media has been increasing and reaching proportions that are dangerous. Television plays a dominant role in the lives of young people around the world and its impact on the development of aggressive behaviour, paving the way for a stronger debate between politicians, producers, teachers and parents.
