Необхідність та особливості забезпечення транскордонного співробітництва в Україні

Abstract

З’ясовано необхідність і важливість транскордонного співробітництва в Україні, враховуючи особливості геополітичного розміщення країни. Проаналізовано умови забезпечення транскордонного співробітництва в Україні. Окреслено основні передумови розвитку транскордонного співробітництва в Україні, чинники, що стримують розвиток транскордонного спів робітництва в Україні. Today in the European Union countries the dominant concept is the policy of regional development. In general understanding its gist is in providing a comprehensive, balanced development of areas with maximum taking into consideration local conditions and resources. The main purpose of cross-border cooperation is the realization of the concept of development border areas for equalizing their socio-economical status compared to other territories and efficient use of their geographical location for areas and national economy. Cross-border cooperation contributes to the development of integration processes in the cultural, educational, economical, medical and other areas, creats prerequisities of investments, allows to adopt and accelerate it towards European legislation, provides raising of the living standards of the inhabitants of border areas. The basic precondition of cross-border cooperation in Ukraine is geopolitical location of the country, because 19 of the 25 regions of Ukraine are borders. Cross-border cooperation in Ukraine aims not only to share experiences with more developed countries, but also to improve the socio-economic situation of the border areas, which are often located in a great distance from the industrial, financial, administrative, scientific and cultural centers, and therefore are unable to develop properly. It should be noted that through cross-border cooperation not only the socioeconomic situation of border areas and national economy can be improved, but also the chances of Ukraine to join the European Union might be increased. That is why cross-border cooperation is so important and necessary for Ukraine.
