«Толерантності до невизначеності» як ресурс психологічного благополуччя поліцейських в умовах коронавірусної хвороби (COVID-19)

Abstract

У статті здійснено аналіз толерантності до невизначеності, яка є актуальною в сьогоденні. Оскільки через мінливість сучасності люди постійно перебувають у стані як внутрішньої, так і зовнішньої невизначеності, що вимагає від них витриманості й психологічної гнучкості. Зазначено, що конструкт толерантності до невизначеності, методологічні підходи до його вивчення і шкали діагностики були розроблені в зарубіжній психології і, починаючи з 90-х років ХХ століття, відбувається збільшення кількості досліджень толерантності до невизначеності в прикладних сферах діяльності (управління, медицина), зв’язку толерантності з широким спектром пізнавальних, особистісних, поведінкових особливостей людини. Акцентовано, що особливої актуальності проблема невизначеності набуває у зв’язку з пандемією COVID-19, оскільки життя в період карантину диктує нові умови зміни торкаються як макросоціального рівня, так і рівня психіки окремої особистості. У статті представлено результати вивчення психоемоційного стану поліцейських та формування толерантності до невизначеності в умовах коронавірусної хвороби (COVID-19). Дослідження проводилось серед правоохоронців поліції Львівщини у період з квітня по листопад 2020 року. Результати дослідження показали, що 92% поліцейських не мають депресивних симптомів і для 85 % з них корона вірусна хвороба та карантинні обмеження не вплинули на зміни у психоемоційному стані. Найбільше, що їх турбувало в період високого рівня захворюваності, це стан свого здоров’я та близьких. Визначено, що психологічне бдагополуччя особистості має пряму залежність від загрози її фізичному здоров’ю. Резюмовано, що для поліцейських притаманна така особистісна риса як «толерантність до невизначеності», яка проявляється у здатності переживати позитивні емоції в неоднозначних ситуаціях, стресостійкості до неможливості планування й передбачення, адаптаційному потенціалі до змін. The article analyzes the tolerance for uncertainty, which is relevant in modern conditions. Due to the variability of modernity, people are constantly in the state of both internal and external uncertainty, which requires mellowness and psychological flexibility. It has been noted that the construct of tolerance to uncertainty, methodological approaches to its study and diagnostic scales have been developed in foreign psychology and since the 90s of the twentieth century there is an increase in research on tolerance to uncertainty in applied areas (management, medicine), communication tolerance with a wide range of cognitive, personal, behavioural characteristics of a human. It has been emphasized that the problem of uncertainty is especially relevant in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, as the life in the quarantine period dictates new conditions of change affecting both the macro-social level and the mental level of the individual. The article presents the results of studying the psycho-emotional state of police offcers and the formation of tolerance for uncertainty in the context of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The survey was conducted among law enforcement offcers of the Lviv region in the period from April to November 2020. The results of the study showed that 92% of police offcers did not have depressive symptoms and for 85% of them coronary heart disease and quarantine restrictions did not affect changes in psychoemotional state. What worried them most during the high morbidity was the state of their health and the health of their loved ones. It has been determined that the psychological well-being of an individual is directly dependent on the threat to his physical health. It has been summarized that police offcers have such a personality trait as «tolerance for uncertainty», which is manifested in the ability to experience positive emotions in ambiguous situations, stress resistance to the inability to plan and predict, adaptive capacity for change.
